• In the world of digitization, the implementation of ICT in higher education is the need and demand of this era. The Spoken Tutorial project takes an initiative of the 'Talk to a Teacher” activity of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), MoE, Government of India to promote IT literacy through Open-Source Software.
• The Spoken Tutorial Project is about teaching and learning a particular FOSS (Free and Open-Source Software) like Linux, Scilab, LaTeX, PHP & MySQL, Java, C/C++, LibreOffice etc. via an easy Video tool - Spoken Tutorials.
• It is envisaged that professionally qualified graduates with a sound knowledge of their core discipline and expertise in a concerned skill will have openings in service, industry and self-employment sectors. Demand and scope for such professionally trend graduates are visible in the applied fields of almost all basic and core disciplines and faculty in the changing global scenario and are likely to increase in the future.
• Under Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay project the college has introduced the certificate course C and CPP in the year, 2017-2018 for computer science students only. Later on, that maximum no. of students of the college (Life Science and Maths Group) were benefited with various courses. These courses help the students to gain basic and detail knowledge about the subject.
• For the advancement of the students, progressively some courses were newly introduced and offered to the students. Since then, the course is running smoothly, Dr. Snehal Narale Head, Computer Science Department of the college works as a college course coordinator and provides training, tutorial and mentoring to the students for different courses. The faculty trained the students in offline as well as in online mode. But in COVID-19 pandemic situation due to online mode of teaching, learning and flexibility of timing a sudden spurt in the no. of students getting benefited from this course.
• Students choose their course (mapped and un-mapped) as per their choice and interest of the subject. College offered various courses from basic to advance level like introduction to Computers to PhP &MYSQL,Blender,Drupal and many more.
• More than 1200+ students were trained in various courses of IIT Spoken, out of which some of them were selected for Job fair conducted by Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay.
• The courses has been offered to the students from last six years and the best outcome of this course is college received Spoken Tutorial Bright Institute Award from Western Region of India at the hands of Kannan Moudgalya (Project Coordinator,IIT Bombay) and Meenal Karanwal (Sub Divisional Magistrate And Project Coordinator (Tribal) Nandurbar. With this prestigious award one more feature is added in our institution, Our student Ms. Sonali Khandve received Star Spoken Tutorial Alumni Resource Award 2023.

Certificate Course Under Siemens Centre of Excellence, VNIT, Nagpur

(Industry 4.0 Initiative and Digitalization)

The session 2022-23 starts with the very important MOU signed with V. R. Jamdar Siemens Center of Excellence VNIT, Nagpur.

Under Industry 4.O Initiative and digitalization, VRJSCOE, VNIT Nagpur has taken initiative to impart state of the art industry-oriented training to bridge the gap between trainees’ skillsets and industry need and also enable institutions to improve the quality of technical education.

In view of these aspects, Dharampeth M. P. Deo Memorial Science College, Nagpur enrolled all mathematics group final year students for the 6 different certificate courses. This is the first B.Sc. Batch which was enrolled for these courses. The syllabus of these certificate courses was specially designed by Siemens Center, VNIT for our B.Sc. Students.

All the students were highly benefited by the CNC Lab, Robotics Lab, IoT Lab, Process Instrumentation and Reverse Engineering Lab.

These certificate courses enable students to face the demands of the industry through industry-oriented training with contemporary learning technologies. Total 255 students sucessfully completed the courses.

(Mathematics) students & interested students in B. Sc. along with their regular syllabus. After Completing 40 hrs. of training programme, students are able to understand the breadth of the model or how much of the system the model will encompass. Determining the scope of the model should be based on how much bearing or impact a particular activity had on achieving the objectives of the simulation.

The institute aims at the holistic development of the learners through upskilling them in various domains. In the era of competition, the college equips the upcoming graduates by introducing need based add on courses which are affiliated to Department of Lifelong Learning of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur under Jeevan Shishkan Abhiyan. The list of certifications encompasses a varied range of topics designed purely on the basis of the courses offered in the Institution. The courses provide detailed knowledge and skills required to perform real-world job responsibilities. The evaluation process is through a test that is conducted to assess the capabilities and expertise of an individual in his chosen subject area. Grades are provided on the basis of subject wise evaluation criteria. The duration and methods of teaching and learning involved are designed for adult learners and thus they complete it in a short timeframe and get the certifications along with their traditional degree.
